It was a awesome way to round off the month long exhibition.

Oi You! 2011 in full swing

Oi You! 2011 opened to the public a week ago and we’ve been that busy that we’ve not had time to post!

The visitor numbers have exceeded all expectations as have the accolades – thanks to everyone who has come and for your kind words and support.

The Oi You! Competition is all but in place, 40 artists from Across the country have converged on Nelson over the past 10 days to complete an A1 version of their original submission and the quality is stunning.

The Cut Collective’s installation is awesome with the centre piece being a 6 x 4 meter image that is blowing visitors away.

The Banksy and other ‘best of world’ stuff is getting the attention and adoration that you’d expect with a few visitors from overseas commenting that it’s the only place in the world that you could see a collection of Banksy’s without having to queue!

One exhibit that has gone down really well is the ‘Corrupt Kiwi Classics’ - 9 reworks for classic Kiwi painting like this on of Rita Angus’s Cass called Beefed Up.

If you’ve not been, do your best to get here we’re sure you’ll love it.

Future Proof Your Family!

The theme for this year’s Ecofest in Nelson at the weekend was ‘Future Proof Your Family’ – we thought what better way of doing that then sticking them in an Oxygen Tent…so that’s exactly what we did complete with sound effects.

The public reaction ranged from stunning to stunned!

They look awesome thanks to the great design work by Klaasz Breukel and a fabulous effort installing them from Klaasz, Shannon, Simon & Hardy.
